Vichy is back with another new launch this past spring! This line is really targeted for those with acne prone and oily skin. All of these products contain salicylic acid + LHA. Back in high school when my skin broke out a lot more, I always looked for products with salicylic acid due to its efficiency. As always, Vichy’s products also contain soothing thermal water, paraben-free, and are hypoallergenic.

The new Vichy Normaderm line comes in a sleek, green packaging with a plethora of information on the bottles. It includes an anti-acne treatment lotion, deep cleansing purifying gel, and pore tightening lotion, all of which I will be reviewing today!
I’ve loved all of the Vichy products I’ve tested this far, but unfortunately one of the products fell through. Keep reading to find out why!
Starting off with the anti-acne treatment lotion, this is the star of the new line. It is clinically proven to help treat and prevent recurrent and occasional acne. The lotion contains a higher dose of salicylic acid, which is a super-power ingredient to kill and combat acne.
However, the downside of salicylic acid was that it tended to dry out my skin as it sucks out the oils that cause you to break out.I was relieved when my skin didn’t have that tightening feeling afterwards. It had a slight cooling effect which felt nice as well. The only thing I didn’t really like about this product was the scent. It reminded me of men’s cologne and I prefer my girly girl scents, haha!
Although I don’t really have reoccurring acne anymore (SO glad after dealing with it for so many years), I can see myself continuing to use the lotion. I like how lightweight it feels, yet does a great job in keeping my skin hydrated.

Moving on to the gel cleanser! I really liked the packaging of the cleanser, it had that modern and sleek feel to it. After mixing the cleanser with water, it foams up lightly and provides a very gentle, but clean wash. My skin felt really fresh and I was happy to find that my skin did not over dry as it normally does with salicylic acid products.
Last but not least, the purifying pore tightening lotion! It is definitely more of a toner than a lotion though. Unfortunately, this lotion did not work AT ALL with my skin. It felt very harsh on my skin and also stung, which is probably due to the alcohol inside the product. Immediately, I washed it off because I knew my skin would over-dry and feel leathery if I left it on. My skin was stinging for about 15 minutes after I removed it =(
Overall, I enjoyed the anti-acne treatment and the gel cleanser, but the lotion/toner was too harsh with my skin type. These days, my skin type isn’t as oily and acne prone as it used to be. I would recommend this line to those with oily and acne prone skin!
What is your skin type? Have you tried Vichy’s Normaderm line?

Yay!
Thanks for reading!

To use the foundation, you simply press lightly on the center plate. Product will come out afterwards in a neat circle, which makes it sanitary as well.
Since the bottle is opaque and you’re unable to see the shade, there is a ‘window’ on the side of the bottle in which you can see the shade.
My first impression of the foundation was that I really liked it. I loved the medium coverage and the slightly dewy and sheen finish as you can see in the photo above. Although, the description says it is a matte finish, it was on the dewy side for me. The foundation really smoothed out my skin tone and it still looks pretty natural.
The packaging is consistent with all of Stila’s other products. However, there is the addition of cheetah print! I found the packaging to be good quality, and sturdy enough to put in your purse or luggage without having to worry about it breaking or opening.
Ta-daaaa! Here are the shades. The bottom two are blushes, while the top shades are for your eyes. There are four versions of this palette, depending on your skin tone: fair/light, light/medium, medium/tan, and tan/dark.
Swatches of the palette. Instead of putting down the shade names, I listed the swatches based on where they are supposed to go on your face. Of course, you don’t have to follow these suggestions if you don’t want to!
The back of the palette also shows you which shades go where. For someone just starting out with makeup, this would be really helpful!
Here is the finished eye makeup look with the palette following the photo provided on the back of the palette! I was really impressed at how pigmented and blendable the product was. I couldn’t believe that it took me under five minutes to finish this look and I love how warm the shade is.
Here is a close up of the colours! Again, the shadows were really pigmented and super easy to blend.
Starting off with Stila, one of their most exciting new launches is the Stila Stay All Day Foundation re-launch! The packaging has been redesigned with a center dispensing dish, which makes it easier and less messy to apply. You simply pump the product, and it will dispense onto the center plate, where you can then use a sponge/brush/finger to apply the foundation. The foundation is a medium to full coverage, with a matte finish.
Whenever I think of Paul & Joe, I immediately think of their cute, whimsical, and detailed packaging. Also, cat lipsticks!!! This season, they are back again with the cat lipsticks in a few different shades. As well, there are also some new mini eyeshadow palettes being launched in a paper packaging.
Although using self tanners can be a daunting and intimidating task, St. Tropez makes it really easy for you to achieve the perfect glow that you are looking for. They also recently launched a website, which helps you find the perfect St. Tropez product for you. It will ask questions such as what type of event you are wearing this tan to, how many days/time you have, how dark of a tan you are looking for, etc.
Roses! Even better, red roses! <3 Korres has just launched a wild rose line, which looks absolutely beautiful! I am excited to try the Korres Wild Rose Vitamin C Brightening Oil, which can be mixed into liquid foundation or just applied as a moisturizer. The oil also comes infused with real rose petals. So pretty!
Last but not least, Bliss! There are three new devices that Bliss is releasing this season. The first is the Bliss Sweeping Beauty powered cleaning device featured above!
Keep your eye out for all of these wonderful products that will be launching this season! I have a few favourites, and am excited to see them on the shelves!
Anyways, moving on! This cleanser is the oil-free version of their popular original cleanser. Kiehl’s packaging is very simple and minimal. They list everything on the front, while the back is the exact same except in French!
I definitely recommend this product to someone who would like a low maintenance skincare routine. It’s really simple, but it does such a great job in cleaning and making my skin feel fresh.
